Top this all off with a consistently excellent soundtrack and the world of Commandos 2 can become a very engrossing place indeed. And, while there may not actually be any penguins in the Arctic, small touches and ambient details such as this help to make you feel as though you really are operating behind enemy lines. Commandos 2: Men of Courage detailsThis patch requires a No-CD exe. One thing I wasn't expecting from Commandos 2 - but got in spades - was an excellent sense of atmosphere. Certain concessions are made to ensure the game remains accessible even to bumbling players such as myself, but I was consistently impressed by some startlingly appropriate and altogether intelligent enemy behavior throughout my time with the game. When not being struck over the head for the fifth time or drinking bottles of green wine that have mysteriously appeared within their field of vision, the enemy soldiers of Commandos 2 are actually a fairly intelligent lot. In fact, you may want to purchase extra controllers in advance, and perhaps move any items of personal interest well out of smashing range before playing. The control scheme can be conquered and the camera wrestled into submission, but one aspect remains an unforgiving constant throughout Commandos 2: the game is hard.
